State Coverage Initiatives Summer Meeting
On July 31- August 1, 2008, the State Coverage Initiatives (SCI) program held its national meeting for state officials in
San Francisco,
California. Approximately 125 participants representing 33 states and the
District of Columbia were in attendance. The meeting addressed a number of important issues, including updates on state reforms in
California,
New Jersey,
Minnesota, and
Kansas. Emerging issues related to the politics of health reform and engaging stakeholders and consumers were examined. Additional sessions focused on states use of health information technology and chronic disease management models.
