Cover the Uninsured Week is April 23-28, 2007

The annual Cover the Uninsured Week will be held April 23-29, 2007. A project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the week will include efforts around the country to promote the importance of health insurance coverage for all individuals. This year’s activities will focus on demonstrating broad support for the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and the need to cover America’s uninsured children. Sponsors for the week hope to create several opportunities for involvement through activities that highlight the success of SCHIP, demonstrate the need for public children’s health coverage programs, help uninsured children get enrolled in such programs, and continue to press for coverage for all uninsured Americans. The week’s activities will include press conferences, community forums, health and enrollment fairs, seminars for small businesses, campus events, faith-based activities, and more.
