Save the Date for SCI's Annual Meeting

With the rush of activity surrounding federal health care reform, State Coverage Initiatives (SCI)—a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation—is excited to announce that its annual meeting for state officials will be Aug. 4-6, 2010, in Minneapolis, Minn.

On Aug. 4, our pre-meeting workshop will focus on the details of developing a strategic approach to implementing certain federal health care reform provisions. Though we are still in the planning process, we envision that topics will include exchanges and other insurance-market reforms, Medicaid expansions, and the interface between exchanges and the Medicaid program.

The main two-day meeting, Aug. 5-6, will address the ongoing challenges of cost containment including issues related to delivery system redesign and associated payment reforms.

Please keep the SCI meeting in mind as you plan your summer. You will receive additional information in mid-May when registration opens. As always, SCI will be providing a limited number of travel scholarships for state officials to attend the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there.
