Join SCI for a Webinar on Health Insurance Exchanges

Despite the ongoing uncertainty about the fate of federal health reform, President Obama has put forth a revised proposal that will serve as the last push to make it a reality.  Described as an amalgam of both the House and Senate Bills, Obama’s proposal follows the Senate’s framework in having states play an important role in establishing and overseeing health insurance exchanges.  Many states are contemplating creating or already working towards implementing their own exchanges as a way to improve the individual and small group markets. While we already have the experience of Massachusetts and Utah’s initial work to look to, there are many important issues that states must evaluate and consider before establishing an exchange.

Join us for a Webinar on March 11, 2010 from 2 – 3:30 p.m. EDT to learn more about the potential role of a health insurance exchange. Bob Carey, author of SCI’s recent brief, Preparing for Health Reform: The Role of the Health Insurance Exchange, will discuss state-specific issues that should be considered before establishing an exchange, and the different ways in which an exchange might be structured and operated. Ample time will be available to ask questions.

We hope you will be able to join us!
