Call for Proposals: Medicaid Leadership Institute

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has announced a new national initiative—The Medicaid Leadership Institute—a unique, year-long leadership development program designed to enhance the skills directors need to transform their state Medicaid programs into national models for high-quality, cost effective care.

In June, five Medicaid directors will be selected to participate in the first year of the program. Participants will engage in three separate curriculum tracks: (1) macro health policy and economics; (2) technical and operational Medicaid issues with a focus on data and analytics; and (3) leadership development. Participants will also engage in a strategic practicum to help foster, pursue, and reward innovation within their own agencies. The entire curriculum is designed to increase participants’ substantive knowledge, technical skills, strategic thinking, and problem solving, and to individualize leadership skills.

For more information please visit the program website at www.medicaidleaders.org or view the call for proposals here.
