State Health Initiatives Featured at AcademyHealth’s 25th Annual Research Meeting

AcademyHealth will host the 25th Annual Research Meeting (ARM), June 8–10 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.  The 2008 ARM covers a wide range of policy and practice relevant health services research in more than 140 breakout sessions and 800 poster sessions. This year’s meeting will offer a number of sessions related to state health initiatives, including:

  • The Role of Evidence in Medical Policy & Coverage
    Decision Making

  • Updates on What States are Doing: Lessons Learned for State Health Reform

In addition, come early and join your peers at this year's State Health Research and Policy (SHRP) Interest Group Meeting. This unique, all-day meeting offers presentations and discussion specifically tailored to state health policymakers and researchers. The SHRP Interest Group meeting will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 10:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. Additional registration is required.

Hone Your Skills with Methods Seminars 

Attend pre- and post-conference seminars in health services research methods to learn about hierarchical modeling, missing data, complex survey data, Bayesian methods, and modeling. Additional registration required.
