2007 State of the States Now Available

The State Coverage Initiatives program’s annual year-in-review tracking state progress to expand health insurance coverage is now available! State of the States 2007: Build Hope, Raising Expectations offers a national perspective on state-based reform efforts. The report:

  • Includes background and context for what’s happening now with new proposals in California and on Capital Hill;
  • Details different comprehensive reform plans such as those in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine;
  • Explains incremental reform efforts such as those in Arkansas, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah;
  • Discusses efforts to cover all children (Illinois, Pennsylvania, Tennessee) and provide context around upcoming SCHIP reauthorization;
